A new office park has been officially opened in Knutsford  in a joint venture between  Miller Developments and Macclesfield Borough Council.

The Pavilions development is phase one of the wider Knutsford Business Park and features 26,385 square  feet (2,493 square metres) of high-quality  office space split between five two-storey units. The scheme was officially opened by Councillor Barry Burkhill, Mayor of the Borough of Macclesfield, on Friday 28 March.

The site, which fronts Mobberley Road,  also includes a Bentley dealership,  which opened at the end of January. The five pavilion-style office buildings are available on either a leasehold or freehold basis.

Kate Oates of Miller Developments comments: "Knutsford is an excellent regional business centre and we have worked in close partnership with Macclesfield Borough Council to create a scheme that provides office accommodation of the highest quality.

"There is considerable regional demand for office space of this type and we have already seen a high level of interest from potential occupiers looking to take advantage of Knutsford's transport links and amenities."

Macclesfield Borough Council Leader, Wesley Fitzgerald, says: "The Knutsford Business Park will be a great asset to the area. It's long been part of our plans and, together with Miller Developments, we've provided the town with some first-rate modern office units to help businesses."

The proposed second phase of Knutsford Business Park will feature two sites accommodating industrial units of between 10,000 square  feet (929 square  metres) and 60,000 square  feet (5,574 square  metres). Work is expected to start  shortly.

Kate Oates continues: "The second phase of Knutsford Business Park will further enhance the local offer and will go some way towards providing for the latent industrial demand in the area."

Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA Grimley have been retained as agents on the scheme.
