Regent Fun: The street will come alive
To coincide with this years May Day Festival, there will be a Family Day on Regent Street in the heart of Knutsford. As Knutsford's famous May Day Festival is a celebration of the local community, the local traders of Regent Street have organised an family themed event to bring the community together on this special day.
To get the party started local bathroom design company BAD Ideas will be offering a free glass of bubbly, this is complimented nicely by the traditional Italian barbecue being served up by Via Via Delicatessen. To keep the children entertained there will be free funky hair colours courtesy of Toni & Guy along with face painting, balloon modeling and magic tricks as well as a free lucky dip from JoJo Maman Bébé with prizes of exclusive in-store discounts.
As part of the Family Day, the Regent Street traders organised a drawingand painting competition with 2 of the local primary schools, Egerton and St. Vincents. The children were invited to design products that they would like to see in the shops on Regent Street. The entries for this competition will be displayed on the day, with fantastic prizes being awarded to the winning entries.
Throughout the course of the day many of the retail outlets on Regent Street will be offering exclusive in-store discounts and offers to make sure that this is a day that can be enjoyed by the whole family. So get yourselves down to Regent Street on the Saturday 2nd May, and join the Family Day party before, during and after the May Day procession! |
